Azulej, the new collection, that recall hydraulic cement, was designed by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina, recalls the handmade terracotta art of the Italy Renaissance. This tradition - revisited with a contemporary look - is made in series of 8" x 8".This is a major revision of the patchwork composition: an innovative mix, deliberately random, which combines abstract and subtle patterns, in neutral and little worn colors. The colors are fixed on the material in an improperly and natural manner. The result is unique and surprising. It offers freedom of composition and a distinctive design, retains the handmade features and combines the performance of a material of high technology suitable for floors and walls.
